Bubba Wants a Medal
Okay, it was a big surprise to me to learn that there is a US Olympic Shotgun Team (maybe I'm not as bubba as I thought). Even more surprisingly, I found out that they are holding tryouts on March 8th in Kerville Texas. I've included links in case you want to check it out a little more. How cool would it be for some out-of-shape backwoods bubba from my hometown (and there are many) to have an Olympic gold medal hanging around the neck of his prize buck mounted on the trailer wall? He could even wear it to the corner bar and use it to pick up women. "I'm a gold medalist" has got to be a sure-fire pickup line, especially if you have the proof right there! Now I can't wait until the Olympics roll around. Lookout NASCAR, you've got some competition. |
